Segment Two- Open Technology Busimess Start Up- Getting Started: The legal and financial hurdels

We are thrilled tonight to joined tonight by a pair of very tallented gentlemen; Barry J. Moltz and Chas Rampenthal, to discus the first basic steps in setting up an Open Technology business and finding a little money to get the ball rolling down the development hill.

Barry J. Moltz is an extreamly well known entrprenuer and investor in the Chicago Business community. He was chosen by I-Street Magazine as one of the Top 100 People of Chicago's Hi-Tech community in 2001 and 2002, Chicago Software Association's Angel of the Year in 2001, received Northwestern University's Contribution to Entrepreneurship Education Award (CEE) and in February 2004 was inducted into the Chicago Area Entrepreneurship Hall of Fame. He was recently nominated for Fast Company's "Fast 50". Moltz co-founded Prairie Angels (www.prairieangels.org) in 2000, a group of private investors committed to investing in and mentoring early stage companies and their entrepreneurs. The move has proven to be a natural evolution of Barry's career, providing an avenue for him to share his "lessons learned" as an entrepreneur and effectively guide clients through familiar challenges and growing pains.

Chas Rampenthal, is General Counsel and Vice President of Product development, of LegalZoom.Com, a legal advice portal opporating on the web. Chas brings experience in general corporate, partnership, venture capital and securities law to the LegalZoom Team. Prior to that, Mr. Rampenthal gained significant leadership and management experience as an officer and aviator in the United States Navy. Mr. Rampenthal received his B.S. in Economics and Math Studies summa cum laude from Southern Illinois University at Edwardsville, and his Juris Doctor from the University of Southern California.
