Tonight LIVE on www.thelinuxshow.com

At 6pm pst, 7pm rmt, 8pm cst, and 9pm east.... Kevin, Jeff, PJ, Doc Searls (of the Linux Journal), and Emmett Plant have another ground breaking show lined up tonight on The Linux Show!!

In Segment One - Hot News: We will be covering the hot Linux news of the week. Including the new IBM LINUX add campaign and what the language of that campaign may mean to the community as a whole.

In Segments Two - Russell Pavlicek - Author and Linux Advocate
We will be joined by Russell Pavlicek, the Linux Evangelist for Professional Services for Compaq Computer Corporation. He is a 20 year veteran of the computer industry, a Linux user since 1995, and an active advocate for Linux in the corporate world since 1997. He is also a frequent conference speaker and an author of several articles on Linux and Open Source.

The main focus of tonights segment is Russ's new book "Embracing Insanity: Open Source Software Development" considered by many as the "hot" new open source book. There is a foreword by Robin "roblimo" Miller (of Slashdot)and the book is published by SAMS Publishing.

In Segments Three - Caldera, SCO and the rumor of the end of Linux at Caldera
A few weeks back Caldera made the announcement that they had finalized the purchase of SCO Unix and were excited about what that would mean to the future of Caldera. SCO has a very large international re-seller/VAR network of partners. Caldera's excitment of this asset has caused speculation that Caldera is getting out of the Linux business and into a traditional UNIX model. These rumors are UNTRUE.

We are joined tonight by Drew Spencer Vice President, Development at Caldera Systems, Inc. As Vice President of Development, Drew Spencer is responsible for all software development, research and engineering. So, he his pretty qualified to comment on the goofy rumors about the impact of the purchase of SCO by Caldera. We will discuss what a major positive impact it will be to Caldera to absorb the SCO distribution asset.

If you would like to join us on the show, check our our IRC Chat (irc.thelinuxshow.com #linuxshow).

Remember tune in at 6pm pst, 7pm rmt, 8pm cst, and 9pm est.
